Bushcraft brings together a range of core skills that every one needs to survive and thrives in the great outdoors.

Wild Edge bushcraft courses bring together shelter building, fire lighting, outdoor cooking and more that will make anyone confident and happy in the outdoors.

We all know our children spend too much time indoors under artificial light in front of the television. Our kids may not know it but they are built for the outdoors and when they're exposed to outdoor activities and skills they love it. Being outdoors is great for mental health, well-being and happiness. Even more so when children have the confidence which comes from understanding bushcraft skills.

Survival Camp

A warm welcome to you on your first steps to booking a place on the Wild Edge survival camp.

A Wild Edge survival camp is a great way to learn a range of exciting new skills with the chance to make new friends and overcome challenges.

Fire Lighting

Mastering the art and science of fire management is no easy task. Seeing the first ember from spark to warming fire and cooking your first meal is an exciting achievement during the course. Marshmallows are provided!

Shelter-Building

Shelter is key to your survival and being able to master these skills when it counts is key. Having a shelter not only protects you from the elements, but also keeps your moral high in challenging situations. We will give you these skills to survive and thrive in the outdoors.

Archery

During the day you will have the chance to hone your skills and master the art of archery. You will work and learn under the supervision of our highly experienced Wild Edge archery coach who will help you every stage of the way.

Age Range 10 - 13 years old.

Event times from 12pm - 4pm.

Lunch and drinks included.

Group sizes range from 10 - 24 students.

Wild Edge "Head Over" included.

Frequently asked questions ?

WHAT TO WEAR ON THE DAY?

We ask that you wear suitable outdoor clothing to keep warm and move easier during the activities and recommend bringing a waterproof coat just in case there’s a sudden change in weather. Please do not wear open toed shoes or flip flops.

HOW MUCH IS THE SURVIVAL CAMP?

The survival camp costs £165 per student For the 3 day event.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

The current age range for our survival camp ranges from 10 to 13 year olds, however, give us a call to find out about other events and classes, that would be perfect for you or your child.

HOW MANY SPACES ARE THERE ON THE COURSE?

We have space for 24 students (12 in each survival camp group)

WHAT TIME DOES THE COURSE START?

The survival camp starts at 12 am and finishes at 4pm.

ARE ALL STAFF QUALIFIED?

All the Wild Edge team are enhanced DBS and we always have First Aiders on site.
